Ornament for your tree! Memory for a lifetime!

A neat idea for your family to start a tradition or capture your babies first christmas. All the memories or moments you would like to save it really easy to do. Even if you dont have kids or your kids are grown and you have a dog at home that is like your child and you want to make a ornament of that dog for your tree you have that option too. A friend of mine who is an empty nester spends alot of time with her dog Kirby The Dorkie and wanted to capture his first Christmas with a keepsake ornament. So I helped her make one for him and while we were doing that we discovered that you could make a sweatshirt with a picture of Kirby on it also. She and I both were amazed at all the things you could do with a picture.
Ornament 10-Sweatshirt16-Memories=Priceless!
This is a tradition we started this year with Mackenzie. We lost Papaw Shawby this year July 31st and so this was our first Christmas without him we wanted to remember him every year. This is an ornament we made and can make for you to put on your tree every year so that their memory will live on with  you. Mackenzie loved it and everyday she was talk to Papaw and even told him Merry Christmas.

She gave Papaw kisses when she saw the ornament it was so sweet!

She loved showing this off. Its just something little that can make a world of difference when you lose a loved one. We will do this every year and when she has her own tree we will give her this ornament to continue the tradition!

My Smart little Girl

My child is so funny I dont know where she gets that from but everyday I am amazed at something new she has done or said. Last night I was making supper and she was watching TV she turned around and said "Mom Be Quiet Please". (at least she was polite) Then I turned the stove top on and it was burning I guess old food off the eye so I turned the box fan on low and cracked the window. She turned around and told me to turn it off, I said Mackenzie I am almost finished with it. I went to the other side of the kitchen to get something and came back and she was turning the fan off and she looked at me and said "Thank You" then sat down in the chair again. I felt so bad yesterday that I came home early and John offered to run me some bath water so I jump on that. I was laid back in the bath tub so relaxed when all the sudden rubber ducks and all kinds of bath toys were hitting me as Mackenzie said move I get in. I said no baby moma is taking a bath and then you can have one well she melted to the ground and her daddy and to give her snacks to come her down. haha We have never had a hard time with bedtime.. until now! Last night she was sound asleep when all the sudden she starts screaming my name moma moma moma trying to let her go back to sleep I ignored her ha daddy daddy daddy come here moma moma moma kleenex moma moma peeez daddy daddy hey what are you doing moma daddy come here moma daddy come get me daddy help me help me daddy I thought this would never end but what seemed like hours (6 minutes later) she was back asleep. After I got my heart back together I tried to go back to sleep. She knows exactly what to say to break my heart! But then she knows exactly what to say to make me laugh so hard! There is no telling what our future is gonna hold! I cant wait!!!

The Mind of a 2 year old

The mind of my 2 year old keeps me on my toes. Somedays she is the sweetest most kind little girl and then the next minute the things she does or says you are blown away. One night she was in the bath tub I was sitting on the side of the tub taking to her and her daddy was standing in the doorway. She wanted me to give her something that she didnt need so she got to screaming kicking slapping the wayter and water went EVERYWHERE. I was just waiting for her to get through and I turned around to look at John and his mouth was opened he said what in the world just happened I laughed and said Terrible Twos are you ready?? He said I dont think so. HA Well I was at home with her all last week because Monday through Weds I was on vacation then she got sick. So we had a great time playing together and I found out how smart she really is which blew me away. But she doesnt understand that she can NOT stand on the table and stick both of her arms in the 55 gallon fish tank. So Saturday she wanted a bath so we gave her one I had her on the bed drying her off and she ran up the bed and got under the covers on her daddy side of the bed I jerked the covers back to get her and she had used to bathroom in our bed (the first time ever). John said what did you do and she pointed and said tt daddy and laid her head on her shoulder and smiled. Ha Sunday Morning we were getting ready for church and she stood at one end of the house and yelled out JOHN JOHN JOHN I said his name is Daddy. She turned around looked me straight in the eye and said JOHN moma! The rest of the day she would yell John come here.. UGH she is a little hard headed i think she gets that from her daddy :)  There is never a dull moments at our house. Everyone wants their kids to be good especially when they are staying with someone else. I have never gone into the nursery at church and heard " You wont believe what all Mackenzie did today". So then they start to tell me she was pinching everyone, she went to take her shoe off they told her no she looked them in the eye and threw the shoe, then she tried to tear down the crib. So they put her in time out (which I have never tried) and they said "she looked at me like I had 2 heads" they said that lasted for oh 30 seconds until she ran up under the table and said " I hide". But when I came through the door she was like an angel saying Mommy hugging and kissing me.. I do believe those terrible 2s are HERE!! Oh how much fun we are gonna have at Christmas!! :) If you have a funny story to share so I dont feel so bad PLEASE feel free to do so! If not make up something so I dont feel so bad hehe

Being Grateful!

Be grateful for everything you have even though you think you need more. Tell someone that you love them. Smile at everyone you meet. Wave at everyone you meet on the road. You never know how that little gesture can change someones day. Live each day like it was your last. This past week a sweet girl lost the love of her life. He went to work and I am sure she talked to him on his way home but she never thought that she would never see him again nor did their 3 little boys. He was 30 years young when he lost his life to a careless driver that pulled out in front of him. I couldnt imagine getting that phone call that my spouse wouldnt be coming home. All the thoughts running through her head, the last hug, kiss, smile, even the last fight. Wishing for just one more day one more time to tell him how much she loves him and how much he means to her. Those boys will have alot to deal with for the rest of their lives and I am sure that they are very confused but just knowing one day they will see him again and are watching them everyday helps it be a little easier. But you know that there are alot of questions running through all there minds. It breaks my heart to know that anyone would have to go through such a tragic thing especially this close to Christmas. So from today until the rest of your life let there be no regrets, no doubts or no guessing. Tell everyone how much they mean to you every chance you get just in case that may be the last time you get to see their face and touch them. Hold you children close everytime you get the chance. When they make you so mad hold them anyway. My Uncle Gerald (79) once told me "Never go to bed Anger" and I try my best to live by that sometimes it is hard but it could be harder! Just think about this when you get home tonight to your loved ones and for the rest of your life live like there is no tomorrow. May you RIP Randy Buford and watch over your family from Heaven every night you will always be missed.
Donations can be made for Randy's family at any CB&S Bank in Starkville, Eupora or Sturgis. Any little bit can help support this family. Also if you dont want to donate money the family requested that Bibles be donated in the name of Randy Buford to the First Baptist Church in Eupora ATTN: Josh Buford (his first cousin and he also works at the church) and if you cant do anything please just say a little prayer for the family as often as you think about them and their loss. Also as you hold your family a little closer tonight just for Randy. May God Bless you and yours during this Christmas Holiday and may you never have any regrets or live being ungrateful for what you DO have. <><

Worry then so blessed

We cant help but to worry we are only human. Its easy for people to say dont worry about it what is meant to happen will happen. Easier said than done. I have been trying for a long time to understand why things happen to certain people and not to others or the other way around. But its not for me to figure out its Gods way of teaching people in different ways. Although it is hard sometimes just to let things go and realize you are better off without that certain thing or doing that certain thing you ARE much better off. I wanted a new camera and had the oppurtunity to get a great one at a great price but the funds just werent there at the time. Christmas time is here, unexpected expenses and trying to save money it just wasnt gonna work. So I put it all out there I said I would like to take pictures at a very cheap price to get my name out and learn in the process and make some extra cash to save. I had a few hits but no set times I was getting a little disappointed and was having my own little pitty party about what I didnt have and why I didnt have it and everyone else can do whatever they want and still have money to blow blah blah blah. Then I realized those people probably dont get what they want either, they are probably in debt and then there are others that are starving for things that I just throw away and dont count as a blessing and should. So I woke up this morning with a different outlook on things. Like Christmas the reason for the season is giving and that is what we are asked to do. Do for those who cant do for themselves. I was going down the road and my phone started blowing up.. I am now BOOKED the next 3 weekends with pictures 9 different families~! God always provides when we least espect it. He is always looking out for us if we would open our eyes and heart and closes our mouths and stop begging. He provides what we NEED not always what we WANT. So I said all this to say I am truly blessed and alot more people out there dont have half as much as me. That is why next year at Christmas we are giving back. Mackenzie will get 3 gifts like the wisemen brought to the Manager and get God back in Christmas for those around us and Pray that Mackenzie will grow up to appreciate everything she has. I want to start adopting an angel off the tree and letting  Mackenzie choose things for them to give to them for Christmas that way she can learn to give also. We dont realize how blessed we are until we go without or see what someone else has gone through. We do the shoebox ministry but I just feel like that isnt enough because we have so much more to give. I pray that this year you will look back on all your blessings that God has given you and you thank him for everyone of them because the only reason why we have anything is because of HIM and HIM alone. Lets do our best to give back to HIM and put CHRIST back in CHRISTMAS!!
